
It just comes out of nowhere. When you least expect it. You’re minding your own business and suddenly it strikes!The Food Craving! Its an intense feeling that grips you off any Willpower. Food cravings are often for unhealthy, processed foods that are high in sugar, salt and/or fat.
So what is Food Craving?
Food Craving is an intense desire to eat a specific food or flavor. For some people ,the craving cannot be satisfied until the food is consumed.
Causes :
- Food for thought: Food cravings can be triggered by regions in your brain that are responsible for memory, pleasure and reward.
- Hormonal Imbalance: Food cravings are often a symptom of hormonal imbalances that may be caused by inadequate nutrition.
- Stress: During stressful times, you may find yourself craving comfort foods. Common food cravings include carbohydrates, fatty, salty and/or sweet foods.
- Habits: people have their own habits and they stick to them.Small modifications over time can help lead to developing new healthy habits.
How to control this?
- Distract yourself
- Exercise Regularly
- Get Proper Sleep
- Drink lots of Water
- Chew Gum
- Plan your meals
- Eat more Protein
