What is Physical Education or P.E?

Its the Education through physical activities for the develepment of the Total personality of the child to its fullness and perfection in body mind and spirit. Students develop skills necessary to partticipate in a wide range of activities such as swimming,soccer,football etc.

AIM:

For the development of –

  • Physically
  • Mentally
  • Socially and
  • Emotionally fit Citizens

Pros of P.E:

1. Healthy Student- This involves lot of exercises that keep the student fit

2. Builds Character of a Student

3. Reduces chances of illness

4. Its Refeshing as it takes place outside the classroom.

5. Reduces stress & anxiety

6. Helps control weight

7. Team working skills

Cons of P.E:

1. Students are proned to Injuries

2. Interference with academics

3. It comes with a cost

4. Its not meant for everyone

5. Uneven results

6. Weather issues

7. Requires knowledge

THE FOOD CRAVING MAN

It just comes out of nowhere. When you least expect it. You’re minding your own business and suddenly it strikes!The Food Craving! Its an intense feeling that grips you off any Willpower. Food cravings are often for unhealthy, processed foods that are high in sugar, salt and/or fat.

So what is Food Craving?

Food Craving is an intense desire to eat a specific food or flavor. For some people ,the craving cannot be satisfied until the food is consumed.

Causes :

  • Food for thought: Food cravings can be triggered by regions in your brain that are responsible for memory, pleasure and reward.
  • Hormonal Imbalance: Food cravings are often a symptom of hormonal imbalances that may be caused by inadequate nutrition.
  • Stress: During stressful times, you may find yourself craving comfort foods. Common food cravings include carbohydrates, fatty, salty and/or sweet foods.
  • Habits: people have their own habits and they stick to them.Small modifications over time can help lead to developing new healthy habits.

How to control this?

  • Distract yourself
  • Exercise Regularly
  • Get Proper Sleep
  • Drink lots of Water
  • Chew Gum
  • Plan your meals
  • Eat more Protein

The Healthy Way of Life

Physical Fitness refers to the ability of your body systems to work together efficiently to allow you to be healthy and perform activities of daily living.

Exercise:

Any movement that makes your muscles work and requires to burn your calories.

Aerobic exercises:

1.Jogging-Running at a steady and gentle pace and helps in maintaining weight.

2.Walking-Moving at a fairly regular pace for a short, medium or long distance.

3.Treadmill-You can switch between running and walking.

4.Swimming- Swimming is the best full body workout for your health because it not only engages your legs but also theupper body and lats.

5.Cycling- Covers more distance than jogging/walking and improves leg strength.

Benefits of Regular Exercises:

– Helps in weight loss

– Reduce risk of chronic disease

– Gives better sleep

– Boosts energy

– Reduces stress

Requirements for Physical fitness:

– Proper nutrition: Include carbs like bread,rice and cereals,fats,lean protein,fruits and vegetables

– Sufficient rest

– Moderate physical exercice

– Good physical activity
